The best of the best get together once a year for one of the premier primitive gatherings. Kris is attending as a guest to learn and share knowledge, and to hone her primitive skills.

Green River Rendezvous

Pinedale, Wyoming

 

For the third year, Kris has been invited to join the AMM in their demonstration camp at The Museum of the Mountain Man during the annual Green River Rendezvous. The camp features high quality displays, demonstrations and presentations by fur trade experts. Kris will have her historic tipi on display and will have a trade lodge.

150th Anniversary of Ft. Fetterman

This momentous Anniversary will be celebrated with multiple activities and reenactments. Kris will have both her historic tipi display and her trade lodge available.

Mountain Home, Wyoming

 

This primitive 1800s Indian Camp is one of Kris' favorite events of the year. For a week we live in tipis, ride horses, and live like the old times. An emphasis on authenticity and learning is emphasized. New members are welcome. Ask Kris for details.

150th Anniversay of the Wagon Box Fight

Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site, Wyoming

 

A full three days of learning and experiencing the events surrounding the Wagon Box Fight will make this a memorable weekend. Cavalry, civilian and Native re-enactors will participate in reliving this time in history. Kris will have her display set up for the public.

Kris has been invited to set up her historic tipi display on the grounds of the Pioneer Museum in Douglas. She'll also have a trade lodge available. Her display will coincide with the Wyoming State Fair.

Eclipse at Ft. Fetterman

During this year's incredible daytime eclipse of the sun, Ft. Fetterman is hosting a day of events and living historians. Away from the lights of town, this will be a popular place to watch the eclipse and experience a bit of history!

Fort Bridger Rendezvous

Fort Bridger, Wyoming

Note: New trade spot this year! Kris is moving her tipis closer to the museum, on the first row, spot 47.

This is the 42nd Anniversary of the Fort Bridger Rendezvous, one of the largest mountain man rendezvous in the nation. The rendezvous is a re-enactment of the annual gathering of mountain men traders and Indians that occurred in the west and took place between 1825 and 1840. The event has grown into one of the most attended events in Wyoming, topped only by Cheyenne Frontier Days. Kris will not be giving any presentations, but she can't resist the chance to set up her trade blanket. And she will be camping in her historic tipi, so tours may be arranged upon request!

One of Kris' favorite living history interpretive events, The Fort Rendezvous features a small group of high quality living historians and historic artists with a variety of exhibits, demonstrations and presentations.

Elk Fest

Estes Park, Colorado

A fantastic celebration of fall, this event is highlighted by the beautiful fall leaves and snow capped peaks framing this cute mountain town. City Park on the main drag is filled with artisans, music, performers and a mountain man encampment. Roy's tipi will be on display and Kris will be selling wares and painting faces.
